They say that one man's trash is another man's treasure, and it's these kinds of stories that prove this to be true. Here at Awesome Inventions, we love innovative ways to re-use and recycle junk, as it keeps it out of landfill while also making something useful or beautiful. Portuguese street artist, Artur Bordalo, made this awesome owl sculpture out of unwanted items, such as corrugated sheet metal and old tractor tires. The sculpture, which is titled "Owl Eyes" was made as part of the annual WOOL urban arts festival in Covilha, Portugal. It's amazing to see what people can do with unwanted items! Bordalo had this to say about his work…
"It’s part of the concept of my work, and my work in general, to use found trash from the streets, the fruits of excessive consumerism/capitalism. It’s also a connection to the area where the piece were made, cause it’s the area’s trash that I’m using for it."
