When most people think of rats, often the thoughts vermin, dirty and diseased spring to mind. They don't have the best reputation out there but one person who wanted to show a different side to the species is Dutch illustrator Nadya Slenders. Self taught Nadya runs her own illustration business, also illustrating children's books. Although she loves working with rats, her work branches out to other animals and sometimes people too.
