You probably already know that origami is the art of paper folding, so it's generally made up of straight lines. However, what you may not realize is that it is possible to make curved origami. Vietnamese artist Hoang Tien Quyet uses a notoriously difficult technique known as "wet folding" to create incredible curved origami art. The curves allow for more freedom of expression and makes the medium much more realistic. Wet folding is exactly what it sounds like… the paper is folded while wet. However, few people use this technique because wet paper is fragile and easy to tear, so the method is hard to master! Let's take a look at Quyet's amazing origami figures!
