Whales are majestic creatures. At around 30 meters in length, the Blue Whale is not only the largest species of whale, but the largest animal on earth, so they're big and beautiful! Most whales must surface every 3 to 20 minutes to breathe (through their blowholes) however some, like the Sperm Whale, can remain submerged for up to an hour before coming up for air! Seeing whales in their natural environment is an incredible experience. But if you're not looking to get too close to them, you can always just check out these magnificent whale images! Take a look!
