As an April Fools prank, Paris-based artist Julien Knez created the persona of fake Parisian hipster Stan who would only watch todays movies and shows on VHS. Knez, owner of the Golem 13 blog, then began to create a life for Stan. He bought an old fashioned TV, video recorder and some ancient videotapes from a flea market. Next he got to Photoshopping fake VHS covers of modern movies and shows using old-style fonts of the '80's. Finally he secured "Stan" an interview with a French editor to make him "real." Wow this guy puts a lot of time and effort into his pranks! Check out his handiwork below.
