South Africa-based motion graphics designer and animator Robyn O has enjoyed design, drawing and painting since she was a child. Creatively, she enjoys a challenge and with this in mind she decided to pay tribute to some Afrikaans words. There are a huge 11 languages spoken in South Africa so she had a lot to choose from! She decided to illustrate a series of direct translations of compound words which have very different descriptions to what they actually mean. We are loving that cotton candy translates as ghost breath and what a cute little blue ghost she drew to illustrate it!
