If you were asked to draw a stick man, you'd probably scribble down a circle and a few lines, but some people think a little bit differently from that. South African artist Gawie Joubert comes up with something at once more abstract and more literal when he draws his stick men. Joubert's surreal stick men are drawn impeccably in charcoal and ink, and look as though they're made from real sticks or branches. In this series, his aim is to explore the notion of identity. This isn't the first time Joubert has looked at things in a more unusual way from most people, just take a look at his stunning drawings of pigeons! So, how are these for some "think outside the box" kind of stick men? Pretty impressive, right!
