Photographer Brad Wilson Explores The Mystical Beauty Of Owls

Owls have fascinated us over the centuries. Long before Harry Potter, they have been associated with mysticism, wizardry and magic. With their big, transfixing eyes, smooth feathers, eerie hooting and night time habits, owls have long been considered as keepers of wisdom, protectors of the dead and guardians of the underworld. Photographer Brad Wilson explores the magical nature of owls in this amazing photo series. Using a black background he had handlers bring in all manner of species of owl to his studio, where he spent considerable time getting them to look at the camera. Check out the results!
