Most of us have dabbled in origami at some stage, even if we were just making a paper sailboat or a classic crane. However, this isn't origami as you know it; it's something much more impressive. By day, Tran Trung Hieu (who is also known as Adam Tran) teaches science at a high school in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh city, but in his spare time he masters origami. As a member of the Vietnam Origami Group, he also attends a local center to hang out with other origami enthusiasts, teach others, and learn more about the craft. Tran's amazing paper sculptures technically aren't pure origami, but he uses many of the traditional techniques of this ancient Japanese art form, as well as some other paper folding moves, which allows his pieces to have more curves and nuances, rather than just straight lines. Whatever you want to call his paper folding style, it's super creative!

Tran's origami is incredibly detailed and just plain awesome. We haven't even perfected that paper swan, yet, so we've a lot of catching up to do!
