Benjamin Garcia Saxe has many projects but this one has got to be our favorite. He has managed to turn two 40ft shipping containers into a luxury home with stunning views for only $40,000. It’s recycling at its best and money well spent in our opinion. They started by placing the containers on top of pier foundations leaving a space between them both which was used as a way of bringing in more light and air circulation via the windows and roof. The roof was made using the cut out sections that were removed from the sides of the containers for the windows. All of the walls were insulated as well so the home will keep its heat through those cold months.
